Often overlooked, picking the right domain can make a real difference to the success of your web project.
For a lot of projects we deal with, a domain name has already been selected and registered. For others, especially startups, it can be useful to get some advice about the best domain for your product.
Search engines factor in the relevance of your domain name when generating results. It’s therefore pretty important to have a domain that closely matches your product, and perhaps more importantly, what people might be searching for in order to find your product.
Our top tip for domain selection is to pick one that is memorable, and that can’t be easily mis-spelled. Brainstorming is the name of the game; the more suitable names you can think of, the more likely you are to find one that isn’t already registered!
