On&Off Communications

Website design for a London-based marketing consultancy.

The Client

On&Off Communications (OAOC) is a marketing company, offering a range of on and offline marketing services. Before approaching BrightPie, the company was reliant on a static site which relied on hand-coded HTML edits for updates.

The Brief

BrightPie was asked to redevelop the site in a more flexible manner, in order to allow regular updates to be made to the site by the client. In addition to this underlying work, we were asked to make a number of edits to the existing content, as well as improvements to the search engine visibility of the site.

A new 'media centre' was also requested, to host press releases and other updates from the company, designed to keep prospective clients informed of the company's latest work.

Our Approach

The reworked site was developed in Drupal (an open-source Content Management System). By request, the new website is very similar in terms of style to its predecessor, although various tweaks and updates have given it a new lease of life.

The newly developed 'media centre' uses article tags to categorise content, with users able to quickly browse to the articles they are interested in reading.

The client is now able to readily update content on the site, with minimal training required.

The Results

The new website has allowed OAOC to keep their clients updated with their own developments through the 'media centre'. A by-product of this new content is improved search engine rankings, as fresh content is often looked upon favourably. Now able to update its own website, OAOC has a much stronger web-presence moving forwards.

If you have a project that you might need some help with, whether big or small, we'd love to hear about it.
